Music The Vander Wey’s New Electro Pop Mix


I’m going through djing withdrawals again. I’ve started jonesing and getting the shakes. Lately, I’ve been falling into the spacey fantastic world of electro pop. Its great to dance to, relax to, and even better to study to.The other bizarre thing I find when I am on an electro pop binge is that it makes life feel like a movie. Everything is kinda special and unearthly. What it does is create a soundtrack to life, which is something special.

Franz Ferdinand Covers EP – First Listen


On April 16th, Record Store Day, Franz Ferdinand Covers EP was released on vinyl. My local record store didn’t have a copy in stock, which was quite enraging. Apparently this is a fairly hard to come by limited “regional” release. But I was able to track down some of the tracks to share with you. These are some of my favorites. Enjoy!

Last week Rune posted his top ten for our readers here On the Couch, so now it is now my turn to submit in my list. Notice that we aren’t numbering our lists, because we don’t see the difference between number 10 and number two. If it makes the list then we are pretty sure it is an album that should be listened to, if you haven’t yet.

Later this month I would think that we will each select our album’s of the year, because we want show some more love to the album that we listened to the most.

Who’s Playin at Your House????


It has been awhile since I posted last and that is due to a hectic month of college basketball. It isn’t over yet but this is the first night where I have been able to sit and collect my thoughts about music. I have not been listening to anything new, but I have run across an old CD I made for one of the college radio shows that I sat in on and found some gems. It was about four years ago but for some reason these tunes still seem relevant and should still be a part of my weekly listening routine. I would like to share one particular piece, so without any further a due I give you….
