Music The Vander Wey’s New Electro Pop Mix

I’m going through djing withdrawals again. I’ve started jonesing and getting the shakes. Lately, I’ve been falling into the spacey fantastic world of electro pop. Its great to dance to, relax to, and even better to study to.The other bizarre thing I find when I am on an electro pop binge is that it makes life feel like a movie. Everything is kinda special and unearthly. What it does is create a soundtrack to life, which is something special.

Time for a September Mix

Friday was rough. It marks a month since my last radio show. But since I moved to Vermont I’m not going to be doing any radio shows or spinning any records for quite sometime. My only release will be putting out some mixes for our dedicated On The Couch readers to enjoy. There was something absolutely magical about getting off of work and heading into the radio studios to put on a great radio show. It was completely relaxing and a great way to end the work week.

A Journey Begins

On The Couch staff meeting with Music The Vander Wey (Left) and T. William (Right) arguing the indie merits of micro brews while gesturing with condiments.

I was recently accepted to Vermont Law School, which is a good three – thousand plus miles away, two times zones apart, and a place where cowboy hats are few and far between.

I look forward to new challenges, maple syrup, and taking day trips to Montreal to catch Stars home concerts. I cannot promise that I write as much as I have over the past eight months, but I can promise that I will continue to write. One of the hardest parts of this move has been giving up my radio show at KGLT. I’ve been bringing indie rock and roll and broadcasting excellence to South Western Montana for eight years now.

Vinyl from T. William’s Vault Vol. I

Last week my girlfriend was perusing through my collection of vinyl and as she made her way through, the small yet diverse collection, she started to place albums aside that she would like to have copies of. At the time getting her a copy of the chosen didn’t seem like a very big project, because I had assumed that I had digital copies of all, if not most, of them.

New Mixtapes On the Couch

Yesterday we unveiled our latest feature here On the Couch. The staff will be compiling mixtapes for your listening enjoyment on a periodic basis. This is planned to be a scheduled event but we have yet to nail down a solid plan, so until then if you are looking for our latest mixtapes you can find them at the top of the page under the tab “On the Couch Mixtapes“.

Music the Vander Wey has produced his first tape and I have just completed one of my own. Sadly you can’t stream the tapes directly on our blog YET, until we get that bug fixed just click on the cover art and you will surf on over to 8tracks.com and you can listen there. There are a couple of notes one should know about the mixes, you can only skip two tracks, there are only 8 songs per mix, and if you would like to buy the tune there is an Amazon link to the right of the song information.
