PAWS Announce East Coast Summer Tour Dates
Posted by T. William Gooch in Fun Rock, Garage Rock, Indie Rock on May 22, 2013
Scottish garage-rock band PAWS will embark on a brief East Coast tour in June, which includes shows with Eternal Summers, We Were Promised Jetpacks and Fucked Up. The tour will also include a headlining show at the South Street Seaport in New York, June 14. Full tour dates listed below.
If you are an avid reader of this blog you’ll know that We Were Promised Jetpacks is an On the Couch favorite. We are jealous of those of you who will be in attendance for those shows.
PAWS released Cokefloat! last October and they are touring The States in support of the trio’s first LP release from FatCat Records. True to its name, Cokefloat! is, as the band puts it, “like a sugar high…with the sugar comedown.”
It is a shame that I didn’t come across the LP until now, but I am loving what I have heard so far. With most “sugar highs” you feel a little crummy on the come down, which is why the title to the track below is so fitting. Don’t let that stop you “Sore Tummy” is a wonderful sample of PAWS’ pulsating warm and fuzzy “noise”.

It seems like email is usually spam or work these days, but this particular message offered me hope that electronic mail isn’t a nagging reminder that the outside world sucks.
