Sarah Ruba & Adam Pavao
It is time to revisit the land of indie-electro-rock. I have been away on a vacation on hip-hop island for a couple of weeks, but a new and exciting band has brought me back to my first love. New Look (Sarah Ruba & Adam Pavao) will release a new single “The Ballad” on June 27th. For those of you who haven’t seen the video yet, it is below. If the single is any indication of what can be expected on their full length album, they are going to be your new favorite band when September rolls around.
The Canadian future pop duo first emerged in 2008, landing in Europe with a self-released EP of perfect pitch, experimental pop entitled How’s My Hair?. They have now taken the next step to record and release a full-length album.
“It’s been three years and for us the album is hard to put into words”, says Ruba. “We’re still super perfectionists and whilst some of the record is New Look pop, there are tracks that are pretty badass and serious. But it all reflects our grand vision.”
So enjoy the new music video, be on the look out for the official release of the single, and gird your loins for the full release in the fall of 2011. I will update you when I hear tour dates and any more info.
