An Ode to January

January you drive me mad…
With a name like January Jones you know somebody had to write a song about her. Though I didn’t think the idea myself but when I saw the title of the track it seemed so… fitting.
On Hoodie Allen’s latest release January is given her rightful song of dedication. If you don’t know who January Jones is please visit her Wikipedia page.

Peter, Bjorn, and John – “Young Folks”
I remember the first time I heard this tune and that I for the next two weeks I could not stop whistling. It is light and airy and is sure to get your Monday mornin’ off to a great start.
Tuesday is the New Monday

So getting posts up on Mondays is proving way to tough with working picking up now that school is in season. So I’ll try to put some things up on Tuesdays and Wednesdays.
Yesterday was killer and I needed a pick-me-up and when that happens I usually turn to Atmosphere. When I went looking for some tunes from the Rhymesayers group I found that they just released a new album last week.
Hope you enjoy.
